“I believe the best outcome for positive change comes from the relationship between me, the therapist, and you, the client.”
Lisa Rodger (Prof.Dip Psy C, Cert Hyp C)
We all experience challenges and difficult times in our lives. During these times it can feel as if nobody understands us or knows what we are going through. This can feel isolating and lonely.
But you are not alone.
I offer support across a range of issues; from anxiety to stress, depression and low self-esteem. I specialise in working with loss and bereavement and the overwhelming emotions that can come with grief.

As a qualified and experienced therapist, I provide a safe place where together we can explore what is troubling you and make sense of it - giving you the time and space to reflect on your needs.
I can help you to recognise what strengthens you and what weakens you, enabling you to make positive choices to ensure these needs are met in the future.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach, but I believe that we come with our own inner wisdom and have the answers within.
So, we will work together to grow your understanding and build on your inner resources.
“In my early professional years, I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their own personal growth?”
Carl Rogers, Psychologist
About Me
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. I recognize that we are all unique, with our own values, needs and lived experiences. This is fundamental to how I approach my work with clients, enabling me to tailor the tools and techniques I use within a session to best serve the person I am with.

I also have experience of working creatively, helping my clients to access unprocessed emotions and explore them in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Working with Loss, Grief and Bereavement

So many of our struggles can come from grief that has not been expressed. Experiencing a significant loss - such as a death, or perhaps the ending of a relationship, a job, a friendship or simply moving to a new and challenging phase of life - can trigger a broad range of emotions. While grief is a natural process sometimes it may feel like you are “stuck” or that you don’t feel the way you “should” feel. It is important during these times to be kind to yourself and recognise that there is no right or wrong way to feel.

Grief can be complex.
• It may be that you need support in finding a new way of living.

• It may be trying to reach a point of acceptance.

• You might need a safe place to say the words that can never be said.
I can provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to untangle your thoughts and feelings. We will work at your pace; helping you to take steps forward on your own journey.
The butterfly on my website represents personal transformation, change, renewal and courage. Its extraordinary evolution from caterpillar to cocoon, to a beautiful butterfly is a metaphor for future hope during difficult times.
